Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how NetherX ("we," "us," "our," or the "Bot") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you add the Bot to a Discord server, interact with its commands, or use any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Bot, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

To deliver moderation, utility, fun, and community-integration features, we may collect:

• User Identifiers: Discord User IDs, usernames, discriminators, and avatars.
• Server Data: Server (Guild) IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, and server-level configuration you set.
• Command & Interaction Logs: Commands invoked, timestamps, arguments, and resulting actions used for moderation history, analytics, and abuse prevention.
• Moderation Data: Warnings, mutes, kicks, bans, and audit-log entries created through the Bot.
• Message Content (limited): Only when explicitly required by a feature you invoke (e.g., purge, snipe, auto-mod triggers). We do not store full message history.
• Technical Data: Latency metrics, error logs, and aggregated usage statistics.

We do not collect payment information, real names, email addresses, IP addresses, or any data outside the scope of Discord's API.

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Bot's features.
• Enforce server-specific moderation rules configured by server administrators.
• Diagnose issues, monitor performance, and prevent abuse, spam, or exploitation.
• Generate aggregated, anonymized statistics about Bot usage.
• Communicate critical service notices through official Discord channels.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.

Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized maintainers under strict need-to-know controls, multi-factor authentication, and audit logging. While we apply industry-standard safeguards, no system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Server configuration is retained while the Bot is in your server and deleted within 30 days of removal.
• Moderation records persist while relevant to active enforcement and may be retained for up to 12 months.
• Command logs are retained for up to 90 days for abuse prevention, then purged or anonymized.
• You may request deletion of your personal data at any time via the contact methods in Section 9.

NetherX relies on the Discord API to function and is subject to the Discord Privacy Policy. We may also use reputable infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, database, and monitoring vendors) bound by data-processing agreements. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will promptly delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us information should contact us immediately.

If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
• Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell data).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
